The Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Science continues to emphasize the pivotal role of the “Innovation Challenge Executive Education Program”, which it has launched for several years, and has highlighted it as one of its multiple activities to support Kuwait’s private sector and the development of businesses. The program aims at establishing a culture that promotes investment in science, technology and innovation, exposure to international experiences, and learning from the most prestigious professional and academic expertise in the world.
Dr. Bassam al-Faili, the Director of the Executive Development Program at KFAS Innovation & Enterprises Directorate, said:” this Executive Education Program is designed to be unique where the latest and most up to date teaching methods are utilized. Such methods include interactive mentoring, simulation, and distance learning, as well as case studies and pilot projects, which would help participants improve their business environment and acquire intensive experiences to become innovative and creative leaders able to deal with complex challenges.
Dr. al-Fili added that this year's program will be held in collaboration with the Executive Education at the Royal College of Art in London. This institution is one of the most renowned academic institutions in the world in the field of innovation design and stimulation of the private sector. The College offers several training programs that avail innovative services and products to major international companies of different sectors such as banking, industries, communications and other areas.
The program includes a high-level training, the opportunity to overview global best practices, meet leading experts, and share knowledge and expertise on the local and international levels.
Dr. al-Fili urged Kuwaiti private companies for timely registration in the program, which is open on competitive criteria for middle management Kuwaiti personnel who demonstrate high level of English language skills. Dr. al-Fili pointed out that registration deadline is January 15, 2017.
Dr. al-Fili reiterated that the program, offered by the Foundation gratis, includes multiple workshops conducted by experts and academicians from the Royal College of Art. The workshops will be held in Kuwait and London in accordance with a precise schedule and the modality would be “team work” to develop innovation projects through collaborative activities that contribute to real change in the companies of the private sector.
The Director of the Executive Development Program at KFAS stated that the program falls under the umbrella of the Foundation’s strategy to provide the needed support for the development of national policies and regulations which stimulate the private sector and allow it to play a more effective role in maximizing investment development in science, technology and innovation.
